We teach our students to play classical acoustic piano. This instrument is very sensitive, delicate, and once you learn how to play

The music theory is a very important part of the learning process.
In Europe, especially in Russia, people begin music lessons when they are 6-7 year old. During several years, that they spend at music school, they
learn solfeggio, music literature, chorus, vocal, they write musical dictations, etc. The process is very interesting. The performers need to
understand what they do. They need to know the period this music piece belongs to and biography of the composer they are playing to understand the music and correctly
play it. Of course, if you are professional, who spent the whole life improving and perfecting your skills, you can play like
Igudesman & Joo or like
Levon Oganezov. But
it's rather unique exclusion. These skills come after years and years of everyday training. And everything depends on your wish, on how hard you work to
develop them.
We always use Grand Piano for our piano lessons and all our students enjoy playing it.
It does not mean that you cannot play keyboard or synthesizer once you learned how to play classical piano. The classical piano means that your sound will be much deeper,
more sensitive, mature, than you were using the digital keyboard for learning from the very beginning. It's much easier to switch to digital instrument and learn its features,
than try to play anything on the classical piano after you spent years with only a digital piano.
